United World Telecom offers users the opportunity to make some great savings by making use of many different services. The mainstay of the United World Telecom service is an access number service and a VOIP service. The former allows customers to call using their mobiles or landlines, simply entering an access number in advance of dialing the number they wish to be connected to. This ensures that the call is managed by United World Telecom and is, as a result, subject to the great low-cost call tariff users of the service can expect to benefit from. VOIP services (voice-over-internet-protocol) require an active internet connection and can be accessed through the user’s PC, offering further reductions in call costs as well as some free calls depending on where the recipient of the call is based. Finally, users can also use ‘virtual calling card’ service to benefit from savings even when you don’t have a mobile or landline phone to hand and have to resort to using a public phonebox!

Although we do think there is a great potential for customer savings with United World Telecom, we did think some users would find the range of plans and packages available a little complex – especially when compared to more straightforward and user-friendly services (such as Rebtel – our No1. reviewed service in this category – or JaJah, for example). While the variety of services on offer at the site are relatively unparalleled, the layout of the service and the site itself make it difficult for customers to decide which package or service would be right for them.

If you’re looking for a great, varied international call service that offers users a wide range of different calling options, United World Telecom might well be right for you. Although the number of packages and call plans available does act to make the service a little difficult to follow at times, it’s still worth checking out, especially if you make regular calls overseas. With great service and a great, low-cost tariff, United World Telecom will definitely help you save cash!
