Thought I would try them out as their rates for national mobile in Ireland were very attractive however the painful truth soon began to kick in. The service appeared to be working fine for the first week until I tried ringing a Dublin number beginning with 890 this caused a problem as combined with 01-890 the lycamobile network pick this up as a 1890 number and since Premium numbers are not allowed over Lycamobile network it tells you that you are not allowed ring this number. This means any number in Dublin beginning with 890 will not work in theory, I have just tried one so far.

I logged a call and was given a reference number and told it should be resolved within 24 hours, by the way this is after having multiple very frustrating conversations on the telephone with the customer representatives who continuously told me that Premium (1890) numbers are not allowed and can I check the number again. I explained that I could ring the number from a landline and another mobile without any difficulty as it was a normal Dublin number. The call was logged over a week ago and when I checked it again this week to make sure it was now working I found out it wasn't, I rang them back and they had closed the call as they had checked it out and were still insisting that it was a Premium number.....

Then came problem no.2
The mobile could now not receive calls from other mobiles as they would just go straight through to voicemail after one brief ring, calling the mobile from landlines was still working along with texts.
I logged another call 2 days ago and still nothing has been resolved, each time I ring they say they are looking at the problem and it's been escalated to the next level....

I am now preparing to move mobile company again!

In summary, I would not recommend LycaMobile to a friend.
