I was attracted by their adverts for cheap calls. At the time of writing 1.5p / minute compared with BT 20p/minute for calling Canada.

However I ended up paying 12p per minute for my call. And surely Planet numbers are fully aware that this is likely to happen.

In the small print they have the get out "plus your phone company's access charge". There was no indication that the access charge was likely to make the call almost 10 times the rate they were advertising.

To my mind this is deceptive advertising, and the calls are not good value at all.

Potentially if you pre-pay you do get better rates. But I always want to try a company before handing over a larger amount of money, and Planet-Numbers failed the credibility test.

In summary, I would not recommend Planet-Numbers to a friend.

My daughter recently moved to the USA for gap year and I was worried that keeping in contact with her would be very expensive. That is until I came across this service on Google, offering calls to the US at 1p a minute I thought it was too good to be true and it must be a con but I thought i'd give it a go after speaking with their customer support team who talked me through how the process worked. It really is fantastic value for money and the quality of the line is superb. I'll be able to talk to my daughter far more often than I though i'd be able to afford now thanks to finding this. Would recommend to anyone, and i'll definitely be telling my friends.

I make loads of international calls and Planet Numbers offers me really cheap rates to all the countries I need to call, plus the site is easy to navigate.
