Have been using this service for 6-7 years around many countries I have traveled.
I have heard there are better services on other companies but I did not jump to other companies because I only used USD50/month previously but nowadays very less amount. I also does not really care on such a small amount.
However, this lagging voice conversations sometimes made me like stopping using Jajah.

I will only recommend it along with advise to ask him to survey other services too.

Customer service is too poor.
All the below problems happens to caller and recipient who no matter which country from or in at the point of calls receive or make.

Cons:
1) Phone conversations will be delayed 1-2 seconds for the other party to receive.
2) Charges even though calls not through.
3) Charges for sms to you a direct number without letting you know.
4) Many default settings are meant to take your money first.
5) Sometimes voices are not clear.
6) After calls get through for some countries have many problems, eg no sound, sudden drop out,...
7) Assigned local dial number have many problems.
8) Software shows many countries can use but reality has many problems.

Pros:
1) Cheap but not cheapest.

Have been using Jajah web for about 2 years ... The only trouble I have is the charge for calling a number that does not answer ... I've timed the call so it would be less than 1 Min. and Jajah would bill me for over 1 Min. ...(timed call 50 seconds charged 1.11 Min.) so that they can add the cost of another Min. to my bill ... (timed call 45 seconds charged me 1.07 Min.) ...again to get the extra Min.... all this was done on a call the was never answered ... Also had problems stopping calls ... place a call and pick up the call from Jajah ..hang up and Jajah calls back ... again with a 1 Min. charge ... so 2 calls are placed within 1 Min. and you are charged for 2 Min. ... so this is why I say .... Keep your eyes open and double check to see what they are doing..I have
E them about this problem but as of now no response.. but when I do hear from them and if they have a good reason.... I will amend this review .... I know like others we are... (Read the full review)

I had been using Jajah for a couple of years without problem. I use it solely to call relatives in China. Then all of a sudden the service was interrupted and could no longer get through. A voice at the other end would answer and then the call was immediately dropped. No more Jajah China service and it never worked again. When I contacted customer service it took a very long time for them to respond. After several email communications it turns out they had no idea what the problem was. So they said they'd refund the $50 I had just deposited into my account. A month has elapsed I have yet to see my money. My advice: find another service!

I have used this service a bit and it works well.

What is not good is their customer service - once loaded onto your account there is no way to get any refund back. Also, the credit expires if you don't use the account.

I will not use these guys again.

They are not the cheapest but the rates are still very low. you can call from any phone with no extra equipment. and the first call is free, they dont ask for credit card during sign up.

Once you set up your numbers you make the calls directly from your phone. I use it to call my family all the time.
